01Withdraw now

Pressing this ends the subscription immediately and refunds the part of the period you have not used. No reason required, no questions, no waiting for a reply.

Reason (optional, and it changes nothing)

An email to nqtradingjournal@gmail.com saying you withdraw does exactly the same thing and takes effect the moment it arrives. This button exists so you do not have to write one, and it renders whether or not you are signed in, because a right you cannot reach is not a right.

02What the right actually is

Under Dutch and EU consumer law you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason and without penalty. The period starts the day after you subscribe.

It costs nothing to use, and using it cannot be held against you.
It cannot be signed away: any clause claiming otherwise would simply be void.
It is separate from ordinary cancellation, which you can also do at any time from the Subscription page.

03Why there is still something to pay

At checkout you confirm that you want access to start straight away, rather than sitting out the 14 days first. Almost everyone wants that: the point of subscribing is to start.

That confirmation does not cancel the right. What it does is make the withdrawal proportionate: if you withdraw on day four, you pay for those four days and the rest comes back. The split is computed from the exact period Stripe charged you for, not rounded in anyone’s favour.

Worked example: monthly

You subscribe on the 1st at €14.95 for the month and withdraw on the 4th. Three days of a thirty-day period is 10%, so roughly €1.50 is kept and the remaining €13.45 is refunded to your card.

Worked example: yearly

The same rule, over a longer period, which is where it matters most. You pay €149 for the year and withdraw on the 4th day. Three days of 365 is under 1%, so roughly €1.22 is kept and about €147.78 comes back. A year paid up front does not cost you a year if you change your mind in the first 14 days.

04What happens after you press it

The subscription is cancelled on the spot. Nothing further is charged.
The refund is issued to the card you paid with. The law allows 14 days; in practice Stripe returns it in a few working days, depending on your bank.
You get a written confirmation by email with a reference number. Keep it; that is your proof.
Your journal is not deleted. Every trade, note and screenshot stays put. Sign in whenever you want to export it, or delete it yourself from Settings.

The date that counts is the date you send it, not the date it is processed. Send it on day 14 and you are in time even if the reply comes later.

06After the window closes

Past 14 days the statutory right ends, but nothing traps you: cancel from Settings at any moment and access simply runs out at the end of the period you already paid for. There is no notice period and no minimum term.
